The Open Air Stock Exchange (what we’ve been up to lately)

2015 has been a very successful year for the Open air stock exchange – Accra’s very first Eco market.

The Open Air Stock Exchange is an exciting “pop up market” featuring local handmade, organic, and other eco friendly products. We used to have this event only on the first Saturday of every month but this year we added a second regular market in airport residential area.

You can find the airport market at the African Butterfly near GIZ (down the street from Koala and D deli) on the second Saturday of every month.

Last month we had chilled beers, chicken wings, veggie burgers, and fries..

And we look forward to adding more to our menu 🙂

Residents in and around Dzorwulu,  Legon,  Airport, Abelemkpe, Achimota can make this easy trip out to stock up on Christmas goodies, gifts and beautiful handmade ornaments. Enjoy food from our grill and sampling the different beverages and cocktails all night long. The event will be happening at Oxygen pub near the Fiesta Royale hotel in North Dzorwulu. Mark your calendars for 28th November at 4pm, come out let’s have a party! ❤one love❤

Reggae Rising hits TV!!

Oh yeah! It was grrrrrrreat! :):)  TV3’s “Music Music” was set ablaze last night as each Reggae Rising artist delivered incredible performances. We were live! And it felt great to have such a massive platform to share our music and good vibes. The Reggae Rising tour is moving from strength to strength. TV3 in Ghana is nationwide, and probably the most watched local channel. “Music Music” is one of the oldest and most successful programmes on TV3, featuring live performances every Saturday from 8 to 10pm.

Ras Boomba started the show right with a good medley of tunes followed by Osagyefo who got the crowd even more hyped.

By the time I got on stage it was pure fire. Beginning with an acoustic cover of “Jah bless Africa” by Nasio Fontaine, I followed up with “Medication” and then “Paddy”.

I was followed by Knii Lante who performed beautiful melodic tracks like “rocky road” and “Gimme the roots”

Then it was time for Jahwi to “Erupt”! Sending the studio up in flames once again. Jahwi also performed  his new single “the call”. Fiifi Selah closed the show in grand style with yet another electrifying performance starting with “money cant buy me love” and ending with “Taxi driver”.

Reggae Rising – Hottest Reggae tour! Akuma village says so.

It was such a BLAST! “Better than the first show”, is what our critics are saying. The Reggae Rising crew was on fire last night!

I have never been privileged enough to share love and music with such a patient and understanding crowd. Moreover a crowd that emitted such positive vibrations. It was peace and love! The fans had been exceedingly patient since technical problems had delayed the start of the show until well into the midnight hour but we did not disappoint. The force was with us.

The Big Hills band played amazingly well despite any technical challenges and once the sparks began to fly, it was over. Ras Boomba, Fiifi Selah, Yasmeen, Jahwi, Knii Lante destroyed the stage one after the other, drawing cheers and much love from the crowd. Blakk Rasta and the Herbalist band were there to continue into the wee hours of the morning along with other artists on the bill including Osagyefo. Great show, great vibes, great people.

Enjoy the pictures and follow us on social media with hash tags #ReggaeRising and #ReggaeRisingTour. You can keep up with our show schedule via my reverbnation page http://www.reverbnation.com/yasmeen

One love!
